Happy Hanukkah

I made this card that I'll send to a friend of mine soon.

I used Papertreyink card stock in white, shimmer gold and shimmer blue. I stamped the blue card stock with silver encore ink using the Mazel Tov stamp set, stamping the menorah and the star. The ribbon is from papertreyink and I used a copic marker to color the flames. I CASE'd this card from Lisa Johnson who is a stamp designer and design team member for papertreyink. Casing means coping in the stamping world. I am so new that I case things mostly. It's okay to copy as long as you give credit to the person you copied.

Halloween tins

I made some little tins and put candy corn in them for some friends. Here's a list of the supplies.

Papertrey Ink plum pudding paper and craft card stock. Marvy scalloped punches in two different sizes. I used art glitter in orange around the edge of one of the scallops. I stamped the cat, the spider web and the spider using stamps by Papertrey Ink using white and black ink. I then embossed with clear or black embossing powder.
I used Papertrey Ink ribbon around the edge of the tin and some decorative designer paper around the tin, too. Sorry, I did not get a good picture of the ribbon or the paper.

wedding monogram tags

My niece is gettng married in May and she wants some tags to hang on the gift bags that she is making for the out-of-town guests. I came up with these and made a few different color styles for her to choose from. I'm also going to do something for her wedding reception favors.

I used the Just Rite stamps to stamp the image and used a Marvy scallop punch in different sized to punch the paper. The paper is Papertrey Ink in sweet blush and spring moss and white and also vintage cream. I used Brillance black ink. I punched a small hole and tied some PTI coordinating ribbon.

My first Halloween card

I sent this card to Leah in Colorado along with the Halloween giveaway about a month ago.

I made this card using the stamp set from Impression Obsession that I bought from Stampers Dream. I used PTI papers in plum pudding and summer sunrise and white. I stamped the image with Memories ink in black and then colored with Copic markers. I then used the Versamarker pen over the whole colored and stamped area and embossed with clear fine detail embossing powder. Then I sponged on summer sunrise and lavender moon ink for the background. I used a Marvy punch to punch the oval for the sentiment.

Thank you, ladies, for your sweet comments!

On this card I used Papertrey Ink's stamp set called first fruits. I stamped the image on PPI vintage cream card stock and embossed it with a copper embossing powder. I can't remember what the patterned paper is called.

This card was stamped with images from The Cat's Pajamas. The nurse is a cat and she's holding a SHOT! I think my daddy would enjoy this card since he can't stand shots. I used PPI lavender moon card stock and stamped it with PPI polka dot basics set. Then stamped the TCP's set on the vintage cream PPI card stock. You can see a little bit of the plum pudding card stock peeking out from under the top layer. My lighting was not good when I took this picture but I needed to get this in the mail so I didn't get a chance to retake the picture.

Thank you all for your sweet comments on the cards. I am enjoying this craft.

My First Post: Ladies Day Favors

This is my first post on this new blog. I'm Sandy and Aunt Sue (Suzy) actually Suzanne is her real name is my sister. We have been trying our hands at stamping and making cards. I don't find time to stamp very often but I can get a couple of hours in here and there.

We have been working on a project for Ladies Day at church that takes place in a little over a week. We are responsible for 12 place settings and two centerpieces. Our favors for the place settings are going to be a box of stamped cards. We made seven cards for each place setting. So it took quite a while to get it all together.

Here is what we created.

This is the clear box from Papertrey Ink with the cards inside. I made the band that goes around the box using stamps and ink and paper from Papertrey Ink. The Bible verse is from Verve Stamps.

I made this little bookmark using a paper clip and I die cut the scalloped shape in white Papertrey Ink paper. I use the Cuttlebug to cut and emboss shapes. The actual die that I used is made by Spellbinders. The sunflower is from Martha Stewart Crafts at Wal-Mart.

Here is one of the cards we made. This one uses the stamps from the set called Guidelines from Papertrey Ink. The ink and paper and ribbon used on this card are all coordinated to match from Papertrey Ink.

This card was made using Papertrey ink stamps, paper and ink and ribbon...all coordinating to match. The sentiment was made by using a Spellbinders nestabilities die with the cuttlebug.

This card was made using stamps from Papertrey Ink. The ink is from Papertrey Ink, too. Then dots of stardust stickles and the star dust pen were used on the butterflies for sparkle. The sentiment stamp is from another manufacture but I can't remember the name.

This card was made using Papertrey Ink stamps, paper and ink. I love the way they make coordinated designer print paper that exactly matches the ink and the card stock and ribbons.

This card was made using Papertrey Ink stamps and black sheer ribbon from Flourishes. I used the cuttlebug embossing folder Textile Texture to emboss the paper. I used a nestabilities die to cut the rectangle shape for the sentiment. We used the Ranger Inkssentials white pen to put dots in the middle of the black petals.

This card is using a stamp that I bought from Stampers Dream from the Northwoods collection. It really is a pretty stamp. And you can color it so many different ways. Here Suzy stamped it and used the stardust pen to add sparkle. I bought this ribbon from Stampers Dream, too, and it matched perfectly for this card. The ink is Memento and the color is Rhubarb Stalk.

Suzy made this card by stamping the orchid from a set by Gina K. Designs. She colored it using the Prisma colored pencils and then used a Dove blender pen on the color to make it blend better so that you don't see the pencil-type impressions. The sentiment was a stamp that I cannot remember who made it.

Here are the boxes of cards stacked and ready for Ladies Day.

I should tell you we used A LOT of tape and adhesive on this project!
