A first for me

This is the first sketch challenge I've ever entered. It's this week's sketch on Card Positioning Systems sponsored by PaperTreyInk today.

I used Papertrey Ink cardstock in Spring Moss and Sweet Blush. I used the stamps from Papertrey Ink called Friends til the end. Sentiment from Friends til the end. Cut and colored the flower image with copic markers. Basic Gray Procelain brad and designer paper.

Thanks for stopping by and looking.

The husband requested I make this card for him to give to someone as a thank you card. He didn't want "thank you" on it and no girly colors since it was for a guy. He picked out the stamps. I can't remember who makes these stamps. And he picked out brown ink and craft cardstock. I told him I didn't think I could do anything with that combination of stamps and colors. So I started to make something different and he came in my stamping area and said no no no...I want this. So this is what I came up with. I think I made it look a bit better using the brown ink on the cream colored paper with the brown paper behind that and then all attached to the craft cardstock. All ink and papers from Papertrey Ink. The shapes were cut using a cuttle bug with Spellbinders dies.

valentine and sympathy

I made a couple of card today.
Sympathy Card that I copied from Michelle who is a designer team member for PTI stamps.

This card was made using PTI card stock in Spring Rain, Ripe Avocado, classic white. I used Ripe Avocado ribbing. Stamp sets were With Sympathy and the sentiment from Out on a Limb stamp set. The inks were Ripe Avocado and Spring rain. I colored in some of the leaves with a Copic marker. I like that PTI makes ribbon, card stock and ink in the same exact color.

Here is the Valentine card I made for the husband. He does not like any ribbon or sparkling pretty things or layers on cards AT ALL...so I made this pretty plain. On the inside I put some sweet sayings.

The stamp set is from Stampin Up! I used black ink, Copic markers to color the hearts and the truck and doggies. Sweet Blush card stock from PTI.
