Papertrey Ink June 2015 Blog Hop Challenge

It's been a long time since I have posted here. I really have not made many cards in the past couple of years. I have bought some from cardmakers and paper crafters that I follow and that sell their cards on etsy. But I decided to join in today and participate in Papertrey Ink's blog hop challenge. I keep buying stamps so I thought this would be a fun way to put together a quick card. following the picture that PTI is using for this blog hop challenge. I really enjoyed making this card this morning.

To make this card I used Papertrey Ink cream card stock, pure black card stock, orange zest card stock, orange zest ink, Momento black ink, Bloom Builders 3 dies, You've Been Frame: Oval die, and the designer paper with the polka dots is Echo Park The Apothecary Emporium.

This was quick and fun and just what I needed to try to get back in the swing of making cards.

May SFYTT Simple Sunflowers

I am not good at making up my own design for cards, so I enjoy doing sketches. I like the Sketch For You To Try that comes around each month. I needed some birthday cards, so I made several of these. It's not as time consuming when you make the same design for several cards at once.
I used Papertrey Ink's Simple Sunflower stamp set for this.
All materials were Papertrey Ink except the patterned paper was October Afternoon.

Our little grand nephew turned one in March. I made this tag to go on his gift bag. All supplies were Papertrey Ink.

Easter Tags

My friend, Girlville, asked me to make some tags for her to put on her Easter tree. I always enjoy making tags for her when she ask. It makes me get to work on a project, and I enjoy that.

I made these tags except for a couple that I bought from etsy. I'll identify which ones those were.

Here is the bunch that I made myself.

Most of my supplies were from Papertrey Ink or Michael's. I had some fun chipboard Easter decoration things from Michael's from about two years ago. Glad I could put them to use in making these tags.

The tag on the left was white before I painted it pink with some acrylic craft paint. The flowers were off white, and I used an alcohol marker to color them blue.

These two tags I bought from two different sellers on etsy. They made some pretty tags!

This is my husband's favorite tag of this group that I made. I painted the yellowish tag with white stain from Tim Holtz Distress stains. The color was Picket Fence. I stamped the flourishes with stamps from PTI and in Spring Moss ink from PTI. The little tiny tag near the ribbon is die cut from Tiny Tags from PTI along with the Tiny Tag Happy Easter stamp. The water can with flowers and the bumble bee were from K & Co. from Michael's from a few years ago that I still had in my stash. The yellow ribbon at the bottom was in my stash along with the yellow seam binding at the top.
I made this card using Papertrey Ink stamp set Friendship Jar Spring Fillers and dies and the Medallion background stamp. PTI inks and buttons. The doily is from a package of supplies I got from somewhere...but probably is one of those wilton 4 inch doilies you can get at Michael's.
Two more tags made with PTI Tag Sale dies and the rosette is Tim Holtz Sizzix rosette die. The chick and bunny were from stickers from Michael's.
The tag on the left is my favorite of these tags. I cut the tag shape using PTI tag sale die and then die cut the zigzag colors using PTI papers. I glued the zigzags all together on piece of copy paper and then die cut with the Tag Sale die and glue it to the Tag Sale die I had already cut. The bunny is a sticker from Michael's. Ribbon from PTI. The pink bird is a felt cutout sticker from Martha Stewart Crafts. I die cut the white and green glitter paper from Michael's using Spellbinders dies. Attached Hero Arts pink pearls around the edge. Found that cute pink and green ribbon at Michael's.

Christmas cards and banner

I wanted to post these and now it's way after Christmas.

My niece asked me to make these cards for her to give to some teachers at her children's school.

All the cards and banner were made using mostly PTI stamps and materials.

I made this snowman banner using the die cuts from Papertrey Ink. I covered them with glitter. I think next time I will only cover part of them with glitter...it got a bit messy.

valentine tags 2011

I made these tags for Girlville in exchange for a pin cushion and she also sent me a pretty broach she crocheted. I'm so glad she asked me to do these tags for her. I enjoyed making them. It definitely got me to do something instead of just thinking about it.

PTI Day 7 Tag & Frame Challenge

Today is the Paptertrey Ink anniversary day 7. The challenge today is to make a tag using a frame. Here are two tags that I made this evening. I love the Beautiful Blooms patterned paper. It's really cheerful. The colors Hawaiian Shores and Pure Poppy together are so nice together.

I can't wait to see what else PTI is going to show us at midnight tonight and tomorrow night. Then Tuesday (at midnight) everything they are showing will go on sale. I don't think I am going to stay in budge this month.

Papertrey Ink Button Challenge

Today, I'm participating in Papertrey Ink's 4th Anniversary party. Today's challenge calls for making something with buttons. I made these tags using Holiday Button Bits stamp set. They were so fun to make. I love making tags because PTI has tag dies that cut the tags to the proper size. And you can cut all kinds of patterned paper and felt and fabric, too, to match that size.

Cardstock: Kraft
Stamps: Holiday Button Bits, Paptertrey Ink and small snowflakes from a Martha Stewart set
Patterned paper: from my stash and I can't remember who made it

PTI Make it Monday Go-To Sentiments

Papertrey Ink is having their fourth anniversary this year. Every anniversary they have special challenges and contest and giveaways. I am trying to participate in as many as I can this year.

My card today is for the Make It Monday event. This will be a new challenge that is posted every Monday. A video will be posted showing a technique or project. I always like video instructions. Make It Monday this week is using several of the same type of sentiments on your card. I chose to do a birthday card.

I used the "Framed" stamp set for the box-type look. Then used "Friends To The End" stamp set for the flowers. Then I used about 7 different stamp sets for the sentiments. I forgot to write them all down. I masked the box area and heat embossed the sentiments and then sponged with Momento Pear Tart ink. I am not crazy about my sponging on this card. But I wanted to post it anyway. It really looks better in person.

SFYTT St. Patty's Sophie

I am participating this month in the Sketch For You To Try challenge. I did not have any of the stamps from the sponsoring company. I decided that I wanted to make a St. Patrick's Day card using The Cat's Pajamas Sprinkle (who I have renamed Sophie in honor of Girlville's Sophie cat who is the boss of all projects.) This is the only St. Patty's stamp image that I have and I have no sentiments at all!

Here is the SFYTT for February.

This card is really pretty in person. I don't have the right equipment to photograph true colors but it has some shiny. I used a glitter color pen to color the hat and the gold coins in the pot. But it didn't show up in the picture. I'm sending this card to Sophie!

Card stock: Stampers Select White from Papertrey Ink; Classic Yellow Green from Prisma. Shimmer Gold from Papertrey Ink.

Patterned paper from my stash that I cannot remember who made.

Gold ribbon from Papertrey Ink
Memento Ink black
Copic glitter pen
Spellbinders dies

Papertrey Ink January Blog Hop

I'm so glad to be able to participate in the Papertrey Ink Blog Hop this month. I have had Tiny Treats Christmas stamp set and this is the first time I've used it. Love all the tiny images that are available.

I made this card for a friend of mine who likes to decorate after Christmas for the "winter."

Eveything I used to make this card is from Papertrey Ink.
