valentine tags 2011
I made these tags for Girlville in exchange for a pin cushion and she also sent me a pretty broach she crocheted. I'm so glad she asked me to do these tags for her. I enjoyed making them. It definitely got me to do something instead of just thinking about it.

PTI Day 7 Tag & Frame Challenge
Today is the Paptertrey Ink anniversary day 7. The challenge today is to make a tag using a frame. Here are two tags that I made this evening. I love the Beautiful Blooms patterned paper. It's really cheerful. The colors Hawaiian Shores and Pure Poppy together are so nice together.
I can't wait to see what else PTI is going to show us at midnight tonight and tomorrow night. Then Tuesday (at midnight) everything they are showing will go on sale. I don't think I am going to stay in budge this month.
Everything I used to make these tags is from Papertrey Ink
Stamps: Fillable Frames 3 and Fillable Frames 1 (sentiment)
Cardstock: PTI Hawaiian Shores
Felt: Hawaiian Shores, Pure Poppy
Ink: Pure Poppy and True Black
Ribbon: Pure Poppy and True Black and Bakers Twine (red and white)
Buttons: True Black
Dies:Tag Sale 1, Rickrack, Beautiful Blooms II #3, eyelet lace border
Patterned Paper: Beautiful Blooms

Papertrey Ink Button Challenge
Today, I'm participating in Papertrey Ink's 4th Anniversary party. Today's challenge calls for making something with buttons. I made these tags using Holiday Button Bits stamp set. They were so fun to make. I love making tags because PTI has tag dies that cut the tags to the proper size. And you can cut all kinds of patterned paper and felt and fabric, too, to match that size.
Cardstock: Kraft
Stamps: Holiday Button Bits, Paptertrey Ink and small snowflakes from a Martha Stewart set
Patterned paper: from my stash and I can't remember who made it
Ink: Fresh Snow, Papertrey Ink and Versa Magic brown
Buttons: Pine Feather, Pure Poppy
Ribbon, Pine Feather, Pure Poppy Papertrey Ink
Dies: Tag Sale 1 and Tag Sale 2, Papertrey Ink, rickrac die

PTI Make it Monday Go-To Sentiments
Papertrey Ink is having their fourth anniversary this year. Every anniversary they have special challenges and contest and giveaways. I am trying to participate in as many as I can this year.
My card today is for the Make It Monday event. This will be a new challenge that is posted every Monday. A video will be posted showing a technique or project. I always like video instructions. Make It Monday this week is using several of the same type of sentiments on your card. I chose to do a birthday card.
I used the "Framed" stamp set for the box-type look. Then used "Friends To The End" stamp set for the flowers. Then I used about 7 different stamp sets for the sentiments. I forgot to write them all down. I masked the box area and heat embossed the sentiments and then sponged with Momento Pear Tart ink. I am not crazy about my sponging on this card. But I wanted to post it anyway. It really looks better in person.

SFYTT St. Patty's Sophie
I am participating this month in the Sketch For You To Try challenge. I did not have any of the stamps from the sponsoring company. I decided that I wanted to make a St. Patrick's Day card using The Cat's Pajamas Sprinkle (who I have renamed Sophie in honor of Girlville's Sophie cat who is the boss of all projects.) This is the only St. Patty's stamp image that I have and I have no sentiments at all!
Here is the SFYTT for February.
This card is really pretty in person. I don't have the right equipment to photograph true colors but it has some shiny. I used a glitter color pen to color the hat and the gold coins in the pot. But it didn't show up in the picture. I'm sending this card to Sophie!
Card stock: Stampers Select White from Papertrey Ink; Classic Yellow Green from Prisma. Shimmer Gold from Papertrey Ink.
Patterned paper from my stash that I cannot remember who made.
Gold ribbon from Papertrey Ink
Memento Ink black
Copic glitter pen
Spellbinders dies

Purple Hearts PTI Anniversary Challenge
I'm participating in Papertrey Ink's anniversary challenge today. Each of the stamp designers for Papertrey contributed an image for us to play with. You can download the images at Nichole's Web site.
I chose Lisa Johnson's design. I really like Lisa's style. I have many of the stamp sets that she designed. Her designs are fun to color.
